Willie Banks Elected to World Olympians Association EXCO Members Americas

Willie Banks, a three-time U.S. Olympian and former world record holder in the triple jump, was elected as an Executive Committee (EXCO) member representing the Americas for the World Olympians Association (WOA).

Known as the "Bounding Barrister," Banks has a long history in sports administration, including serving on the World Athletics Council (2019–2023) and as a USATF Foundation Director. The WOA is the member organization for all Olympians worldwide, recognized by the International Olympic Committee (IOC).

Banks was announced as an EXCO member for the Americas (alongside Claire Carver-Dias of Canada) in a January 2026 announcement, representing the USA in this prestigious role.

USA Track & Field Teams Up with World Record Camps for Run Jump Throw Clinic

USA Track & Field has teamed up with the World Record Camps in 2026 for a pilot program teaching a Run Jump Throw Clinic for 5 year old – 12 year old youth in Rapid City.

This one day Camp is being held on July 9th, providing young athletes with foundational track and field skills from world-class coaches.

Olympic Champion Adam Nelson will be the THROWS clinician for the 2024 Camps!

Olympic Champion in the Shot Put, Adam Nelson, will be training the throwers this summer in Casper, WY and Rapid City, SD! We will miss Ian Waltz but we are happy to welcome Adam into the World Record Camps Super Stars.

Adam has a long list of achievements but most of all, he is an excellent coach and understands the intricate details of the throws. We are proud to have Adam with us! Whoo Hoo!!!

For the third straight year, Casper has been one of the stops for the World Record track and field camps. With 165 registered jumpers, runners and throwers, the line up of World Class Athletes have their hands full.

Seven Olympians including Willie Banks, Becky Holliday (2012 Olympics), Jacqueline Hansen (Boston Marathon winner), Toni Campbell (Hurdles Olympian), and Hollis Conway (High Jump record 7ft. 10 inches!) coached students at KWHS.
